Just finished Double Cross by Ben Macintyre, great read, well written. Having read a few popular history books of WWII, it's interesting to see how certain key people crop up in more than one.

Lots of fun. My first by this author. Not really fantasy fiction but sort of.

This 20 & 1/2 volume series is one of the best fully realized literary world ever put to paper. I have read the series at least 3 times over the years and it never fails.

Good Stuff

I'm far less sophisticated than most in my reading preferences but it was my favourite as a little kid and now that I'm a grown up I actually get all the jokes I missed when I was 6.

Po' boy graduates Yale law and writes his memoir at 30

Skimmed a bit of the drivel but found some unintended insights to the 2016 US presidential election (written and published prior)

The importance of an antagonist

Well written and terrific subject but was surprised when I read "the end" little more than halfway thru, Philbrick spent a lot of effort documenting his sources !
