however are all the hot models available at other places? the non ads or the shops on the watch streets?

not Hong Kong but literally 100 feet away from a large Rolex Boutique in a large Rolex store.

about 5 miles from a huge Rolex owned shop at a travel destination mall.

thats probably what I am thinking of. Years ago I was searching for a 14060M and a lot of pages came up of shops in hong kong with submariners and well rolexes galore. I figured those places must be very very well stocked even with the new models.

they are not an AD if they go above MSRP.
Honestly if you open Rolex's website you will see they are an AD. Unfortunately that's the reality we live in here in Brazil. I bought my Pepsi at this AD with it being 10% over MSRP.

I am in every possible list for a few models. I gave up and just got this one....at a price!!

Am I happy about the 40% markup? no. Did I get tired of the futility of the wait list and figured by the time I get it it will probably be over 10g plus tax anyway...yes. Now, the Sky dweller and the Daytona elude me and I don't have the heart to pay over 20g for them.

If I fly anywhere and buy it retail it would end up being about the same cost I paid btw.

Again, @Porker, welcome to the forum; and I do hope you'll stick around despite the occasional challenge.

Best,

I admit when I’m wrong. You have been proven wrong over and over and like a troll refuse to address any problem in your arguments when faced with facts and real life data from multiple people.

That makes you a troll. You keep just putting enough out to keep the convo/ engagement up and going. Your just another troll I’m guessing off of WUS trying for a ride in people. It’s a sad sad life that you feel the need to do that. Yet the worst you’ve been called is a troll, which at the end of the day proves you failed. You cannot even troll in a way that your not almost immediately called out.

but go ahead you can have the last word. I promise you that your so called source is not an AD and there is not a country in the world where you can go on vacation and get one let alone multiple SS sports Rolex at MSRP on a regular basis. See many places have easy access to them at higher then msrp prices like I posted above. I can get you any SS Rolex you want tomorrow. You just have to pay above msrp.

You see in order to be able to afford these watches you have to be pretty smart with money, and if there was a magical vacation source like you claim many of us would all be on it and bringing back watches to sell, rap with the resources and networks that many of us have across the world. . It’s a term called arbitrage.

So go ahead and get your last word and utterly fail to address in any meaningful way the multiple holes in your theory. I know this because at the end of the day your just a failed troll, something so easy to Don yet you can’t do that. Of course you could be even worse and not a troll and just to stupid to realize how wrong your theory is.

Don't worry about the price paid, yes you paid 40% over retail list price but assuming there is no collapse in Rolex prices in the future (and there hasn't been long term) the street price for that watch will hold up. I.e., You won't lose money on it over the long haul. In the meantime just enjoy the watch.

jesus, man, get a life. (And for f*cks sake, PLEASE learn the difference between “your” and “you’re” - it’s just common courtesy if you intend to berate people for being stupid to at least first understand contractions)

It helps to troll the trolls 😉

“In Internet slang, a troll is a person who starts quarrels or upsets people on the Internet to distract and sow discord by posting inflammatory and digressive, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community ... with the intent of provoking readers into displaying emotional responses and normalizing tangential discussion, whether for the troll's amusement or a specific gain.” - wiki

OP doesn’t fit the bill as much as others...

aaaaanywho, Rolex is esspensive and hard to find, amiright?

There is a new model called Holiday?

In my travels past two or three years (USA, Europe, Asia and Australia), all Rolex ADs have practically same stock - DJs and DDs and a few PM sports. No SS sports. That’s why best way is to buy from your local AD. They know you. They will order for you and you have luxury of waiting.

Well, havent been to the Carribean Islands. Maybe that’s where these magic ADs are.

Here is the window of a Rolex boutique this afternoon

But if you are prepared to pay reseller prices then there are plenty of options, apologies for the poor quality photos, just rough pics through shop windows

And not a fake or compromised one in the bunch!

Look, anyone of us can buy a new Rolex today at the market price, there is no shortage. The problem is we don't like the market price. Rolex's MSRP is the Manufacturers SUGGESTED Retail Price, but the market sets the ACTUAL price. Too many people get hung up on Rolex's MSRP.
