Actually, the print looks pretty bad quality to me and not crisp at all. That's what first caught my eye without even looking for anything else.

I need to post a correction. I mistakenly thought this was the same watch I had encountered a year or two ago when I posted this https://omegaforums.net/threads/beware-problem-longines-watches.41134/page-4#post-662136

Actually it was this watch below that I had previously encountered with the same seller and was found to be a lemon.

    Please excuse my error.
It is still very likely that the top dial is incorrect, the rest of the watch, only Longines knows.

Dave changed the listing to reflect the dial issues on eBay.

Nicely presented Conquest, but so many issues here:

    - Redial with incorrect layout (black rings around burnished area)
    - Box very nice but not period correct for ref. 900x
    - Crown not original (though not claimed by seller)

Here's my entry for that "Wall of Shame": a one-of-a-kind mystery dial.

Sadly the dial is a 1950s redial or replacement... a beautiful gold watch from 1917 with matching case and movement serial. Guess the dial may have endured quite a bit. Crown is a replacement, hands also could be.
Case is interesting and beautiful though.

    Apologies, missed the thread.

Perhaps it's the photo, but that black looks like the black of a chalk board, paired with the fuzzy LONGINES logo and unusual design for a 3T case (and the price) it rang some alarm bells. Take a look at the first three letters - LON - they almost touch / overlap.

Of course, just because I (read: Google) have never seen it does certainly not mean it couldn't be true. It just reminded me of the myriad of redone Tudor dials out there -- it's the same sort of black.
