Beware: Problem Longines watches

This is great. For the new watch collector this information is so valuable. I do appreciate your time taken to explain the description of redials but I get totally lost without the photo of a correct dial or an explanation of the fakes details. Can you advise if this Longines dial looks correct? http://forums.watchnet.com/index.php?t=tree&goto=830957&rid=0

Ah yes, not being a Longines collector, that would be so obvious. Did Longines change the style or is it a redial? What other problems do you see? Is the price appropriate for the watch with a redial?
I sure appreciate your instructions.

As it is a redial, I would not recommend purchasing it at any price. Most of these early Conquests have luminous, two-tone dials. Also, the signature is imperfect and the minute track is too far out.

Thank you so much for your advice. I like vintage Longines Conquest so I will look elsewhere. I'm learning but its so confusing with these vintage watches.

Are your expertise in vintage Omega watches also?
Definitely not, but there are more than a few on this forum.

Hope no one here bought this:

Longines never double signed their dials with Swiss or Fab. Suisse.
I also had Longines run the numbers on this watch and they confirmed the watch is a put together with a redial😲
I told the dealer this last year and he just relisted and sold it in the last few days.
Shame.

I assume it was sold on eBay? I wish there a way to inform eBay administration of the fact of false description or lack of defects or fake items. I advised a seller of an Omega Constellation automatic dial that the 12 o'clock date window had a 3 o'clock date wheel installed and the numbers were sideways. No change in the description since then and its still listed at $800 buy it now. Here it is:

What do you think?
All the printing is clear but no small minute marks? No lume dots but yet the hands are lumed. "Swiss Made" letters look like 4th grader printed it.

I tried a search of forums for something like a "Hall Of Shame" but negative results. It would be fun to have one.

Here is a correct one to compare to.

Really nothing right about the one you posted.
