Hi Just wondered if anyone knows anything about these Dr's Longines watches, I think I have seen the model before a few years ago but never took notes, this is the only pic I have to go on at present, price is £4k To me it looks a nice porcelain dial although the Longines logo is a little worn & the track missing at 6 like where the 3 & 9 sub-dials are is a little odd .. Regards Mr.H
Hi I think the logo font is correct, just the L & G tails & the S worn off, but it does look a bit slanted, also seems the same font as used on the 30 Pulsations watch, & other early Longines chronos But I cannot find ref to another 25 Pulsations, hands look ok to me Regards Mr.H
I think it's ok ... here is my 13.33 as a reference. Your watch is not a redial .... just that Longines is at an odd angle.
This has the makings of a compete fake. Movement and case pics would be nice though. That signature and a pump-pusher at twelve spell trouble. Stay away!
Hi Thanks I wasn't about to jump on it but have asked for a full set of pictures & will post them asap ... I'm sure I've seen a top pusher Pulsations before but was probably the same watch Regards Mr.H
Sorry... I was wrestling with a thorny business issue yesterday and not really thinking clearly. Bad time to get involved in an "is this real discussion"
As someone has said in another thread, that "Longines" logo looks like it's been drawn up with a Sharpie marker.
By the way, the movement above appears to be a variation on one of Lemania's 19 ligne movements, seen here: http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?10&ranfft&&2uswk&Lemania_19Np
