Personally, the snowflake will not fill the 5513’s boots..

We live on a small ranch, so I want a slightly beat up Planet Ocean so I can wear it every day as my “beater.” Lol

I'm pretty much tapped out for 2020 due to bicycle purchases. That said, two watches are on my radar; the GSOTM is one, which also fills a chronograph need/want. The other would fulfill a dress watch opening (and red dial want), so here is this new offering from IWC:

I need to add something blue to my collection. SM300 blue dial, CK2998 panda, or the new blue dial AT.

Incoming. Item 1 achieved.

On to item 2. Although there might be a slight variation there as i am leaning towards a retro rather than the originally targeted biretro.

Incoming. Item 2 achieved.

I am looking forward to receiving my new Seamaster 300MC ... It’s due to arrive around 21 May. It’s pretty hard waiting! I keep buying 21mm straps as displacement activity. It’ll be a brother to my 38mm blue dial AT.
I’ll put pics up as soon as I can.

Well, I have my first and sentimentally most important incoming for 2020. I have my old PO back! Placed it on a new Omega NATO and very happy!

Your PO looks fine on that NATO. Great choice. Pure class!

I've caught the Submariner bug recently. Never owned one (I daily a GMT-Master II) and think it might be time.

Debating between 5513:

or Tudor Snowflake:

A bit annoyed that a 5513 seems to be 40% more money than a Snowflake, with the Tudor being a rarer and more interesting watch in many respects, but despite that, the right 5513 just melts my heart....
You could live without the ‘flake if you had the Sub. Just sayin’!

If the economy stabilises by the end of the year then I'll seriously entertain the prospect of adding either a:

1) Constellation 167.005
2) FOIS

It would be an "either/or" proposition - I'm consolidating the collection, not expanding it, so something has to go for everything I buy. I do love when a Snowflake pops up in the WRUW thread.... That said, the (right) 5513 seems to tug at my heartstrings more.

Only hold-up is the price difference. It seems like nice condition 5513s are materially more than Snowflakes. So the question that I'm asking myself is whether I like the 5513 that much more than the 'Flake to justify the extra outlay. The answer likely is yes, I'm just taking the scenic route to get there.

- speed 105.012
- speed Soyuz Meteorite
- speed 345.0808 first edition

But I guess I will have to choose... 😲
Found a 345.0808.... but second edition.... More compatible with my budget... Too bad for my wishlist!.... Photos soon...

I have a few on my wishlist at the moment. But right at the top has to be the Santos. And the speedy!
