I suppose its that time of year again to start one of these threads...I did a quick search and did not find another similar thread for 2017...my apologies if this has already been posted.

My current possible candidate list, which I am sure will be re-evaluated after Basel 2017:

Some sort of "exclusive sold only in Japan" Grand Seiko quartz from an upcoming Japan trip.
    Speedy FOIS
    Heuer Monza 2016 Re-edition
Speedmaster 57 9300 (I think they will extend METAS to this range at Basel 2017)
Speedmaster Master Co-Axial moonphase in blue (still has not arrived at my OB:mad:)
A possible reissue of the Railmaster in 2017::love::
    Rolex GMT 16710 Coke

So what's on your vintage and modern shopping list for 2017?

All is subject to change but for the time being my current list:
-Birth year('94, still haven't decided on refs.) Seamaster/Speedmaster if funds allow
-UG Polerouter(I am going to be in a wedding in June and think this will look great with a tux)
-Zodiac Sea Wolf (maybe two, need to start building up the wolf pack)
-Some type of alarm watch, haven't decided yet
-Vintage Alpina if I can ever find one
    -Alpina Pilot Big Date

Probably won't actually get any of these but I can dream!

    Shopping list comprises of:

    5513

I promise there will be half a dozen more that I can't walk past when I see them but that's all that I will be actively searching for.

As many fully original, unpolished, untouched, high condition examples as possible.

Panerai Luminor pam 112 is on the top of my list. If any vintage beauty's come my way though, I may give in to the devil inside.

Quirky watches from "low profile" or less known brands. Preferably with "chronometer" or "chronometre" on the dial.

There are absolutely no watches on my list this year. If something comes along I want at a good price, I'll buy it. At this point (10+ years of forum life), I've scratched all but one itch.

That's the Golden Squirrel of Distraction whispering in your ear. ;)

2017 will be my first year of collecting! For now I plan to get started with a vintage chrono, most likely a Speedy 145.022... though if I come across a Hamilton Chrono-Matic / Heuer / UG in good condition and I have the funds at the time I don't think I would say no :whistling:

I am really interested in the RGM Model 300 diver. I haven't seen much on them here and wonder what everyone thinks of them. Not my pics. 2015_300_1_04.jpg

Sub 116610LN. Just put down a deposit. I'm number 2 on the list apparently. That's the sum total of my list.

I was originally thinking about a 36mm Oyster Perpetual with steel dial:

But at a recent get-together at our local Omega Boutique, my wife saw this:

    :eek:::facepalm1::
Leaving aside the fact that I also started toying with the idea of getting a Speedy, it looks like I'm not getting anything for myself for at least a year or two ...
