In my opinion….. no one that is not a watch geek usually notice or cares about the watch I wear, that’s the reason why we all post photos of our watches in this forums, Instagram, etc. looking to share our treasures with people that really appreciate them…. If there is a watch that people sometimes noticed is the Omega pocket watch that I use with a custom-made leather strap…. Usually if someone receives a compliment about a watch is because is using a Michael Kors or something like that, sad but true….. 🙁

This one gets a few double takes

Are you sure it is not the shirt?

Was this taken on the set of "Anchorman"?

That is one funky 70's stylin' watch. I hope you were not offended by the joke.

The new CK2998, if you can believe it.

Got one "nice watch" and a lot of looks with CK2998. I also see people looking at my wrist when I wear my blue Globemaster on strap. In fact, I found 2 of those people recently bought watches that has similar scheme as my Globemaster.

Don't get any compliments for my watches ( except from my wife and my best longtime buddy )....the ones that notice the value just shake their heads.
very often they say that I have a "special" hobby....and still shake their heads.

I don't care

The one that gets the most compliments from women is the Seiko with the shark strap

The other two that get the most compliments are the Tudor and the Speedmaster

My Casio dbc 600 gets a ton of comments! Strange since it is my cheapest watch. Convinced 7 people into buying one in two months!

This one is the winner for me.

I purchased my first Swiss made automatic in June (my AT 2503.80) and in the time since I've yet to have anyone notice my AT (which was disappointing as I was so proud of that purchase...lol). My FC, which I've owned for all of two weeks, has already elicited several comments from clients and friends. It must be the moon phase as you never see those worn down here in New Orleans.

Very few people seem to notice and no-one has ever commented on any omega that I've been wearing. It used to be that my Corum drew the most appreciative comments but my TAG (yup, TAG) Heuer is the one that's easily surpassed everything else in the way of loving comments. I couple of months ago I stopped off to get a cheap strap named after a certain military alliance while wearing it. I almost had to wrestle the watch back from the crowd that gathered as it was passed around ...

(I really have to learn to take photos that actually show a watch to its best

Well, I've only had one person notice any of my watches, so I guess that one wins.

This describes my experience with being noticed for the watch I'm wearing.

While out of town back in May, I walked into a gun and pawn shop, the owner of which who both loved and dealt in Rolex watches. I had only just begun to peruse his stock of used Rolex watches when he burst forth from behind a merchandise counter some distance across his showroom and made a beeline for my wrist in order to approve of this one.

Of all the nice watches we have, this one jewel wonder gets the most attention. I confess to having an unhealthy love of these old cheap watches. They are simple to take apart and clean and oil, and the balance staffs are incredibly sturdy. Compared to the old WWII watches with staffs that snap too easily.

Casio should hire you as a salesman!
