As the end of times is approaching... which watch do you grab as you bug out?

Not trying to fearmonger any more than all the “fake news”… 😁

…but in case you need to bug-out in a hurry to escape whatever imminent threat you have identified, which watch do you grab on your way out:

- modern Speedy Pro,

- X-33 Speedmaster,

- Casio G-shock GW5000,

- or a modern Rolex BLNR?

These, and ONLY THESE are your options. Which one do YOU grab and why? 😎
Please discuss. 👍

I would go for the Rolex. It's a durable and functional tool and the name recognition could function well in a potential barter situation.

And you can snorkel with it!

The Omega Speedmaster Professional! If it can be relied on to help get you back from an aborted moon mission, when everything else is losing power...........it'll probably help you time your way through Armageddon!😲

If it gets to be a bad enough "bug-out" situation for me, a watch would be the last thing I'd grab.

Time will become irrelevant.
Nothing will be operating according to measured time.
People will not go to work or open businesses (if there are any left).
Trains, boats and planes will be static, cars won't be able to get fuel.

Time will become day, or night.

Only one. This one. This is a watch that I took on as a challenge some years ago. I wanted to see if I could converta a watch to run sdrawkcab. So I did it. Then I had a dial refinished that likewise had the numbers printed sdrawkcab. As I stand facing my ultimate demise, I am confident that, 24 hours later (by my sdrawkcab watch), I have a 24 hour margin which only increases as my watch runs sdrawkcab.

Quartz out for obvious reasons.

As between Speedy and BLNR in that context:

• chrono >> GMT
• date > no date
• chrono > date
• 100m > 50m
.: GMT = Speedy

Flip a coin (hopefully a gold ingot), and GTFO before TSHTF

EDIT: I forgot the GMT can be used as a rough compass, so perhaps chrono = GMT in terms of utility. In which case perhaps the question comes down to whether the BLNR or Speedy will hold up without service the longest, all things considered.

My Milgauss. Who knows what's gonna happen to the earth's magnetic field.

Sorry I didn't play by the rules, but I have none of the specified watches.

I have two wrists which can easily accommodate two watches each so I'm taking them all 👍

GMT - so when your hiding in the dark cave. You can plan when/if you should come out...
