Is ref. 168.045 considered a C-Shape?

Design proportions wise, this one does not look like by GG.

Not so sure I'd still even consider that a 168.045. 😲

I noticed that Goldammer was using the 168.045 as representative of the s-shape in this recent video:

Heresy! I thought they knew better, they did an article on the c-shape at one point.

They are pretty worthless, I’m pretty sure they wrote that article just to feature their abomination of a C-Case build featuring a dial from a larger model, how they fit into a C-Case … I pointed out their mistake but there was no action as expected

I searched the thread for a C-shape with blue fumé dial but I haven't found one. Hopefully, I am the first to post one! 😀

The depth of the blue, together with the glossy-wet appearence given by the lacquer, makes it really pop out in some light conditions.

I love the fumé dials, coincidentally wearing my green/grey version today. (And avatar makes three). Here's my blue, that I have posted before (perhaps in wruwt), and today's version. Both on uncommon bracelets befitting the uncommon versions.

Nice ones, compliments. What reference are the bracelets?

A rather old photo, but I have a blue gradation dial that appears to be a lacquer instead of the enamel, something I have encountered on some other seamasters of the era, and one othet c-case.

Gorgeous, I never saw one like that, such a bright blue. If you could post some detail of the dial, it would be great to have a closer look.

Case lines are impressive, hands could be relumed and seconds hand is wrong - it's thin - crown isn't for this model but it's the right size - overall it's pretty meh, but that case is impressive

If you ask me, these should be worth $5000 on average, so yes it's well worth £595 - with my $5000 average pricing, this would be $4000

But if you consider the average being $600 today, it's worth $500 ish

168.019 is less common, you got that going on for you

I suggest you look at Chrono24 watches and pay the 18-20% UK tax, so many awesome watches coming out of Japan lately, ultimately you'll have a better/original watch for around the same price, all the watches you share have suspect issues, for example this watch has a suspect dial as well, it looks as it the 12'o clock lume marker could be relumed and it oozed around the blob

How uncommon is it to find these mixed precious metal cases? I am guessing if the case is solid YG then the bezel should be WG.

Not rare, but uncommon, you can find 1 every 2 months on average as far as all sales go

Ah! the infamous 168.008, they messed around with styles on the C-cases generally but this really is something of an Omega brain fart.

They were quite uncommon just a short few years ago but they come out of the woodwork every now and then nowadays.

some discussion on this reference here:
https://omegaforums.net/threads/omega-constellation-c-shape-ref-168-009-or-168-008.28067/

although Archer lists the references available for the 168.008, in the link, I don't think anyone has seen any other than this somewhat 'Marmite' yellow gold case / white gold bezel combination

This is the watch that really threw me down the 550 series movement rabbit hole, servicing this one was one of my first. I can't seem to find the photos I took when I had it out of the case atm, so this glamour shot will have to do.
