This is from the recommended thread but figured I’d post here too, very impressive set:

Hmm, in that case best not to use the bracelet with your watch, the head is in awesome shape, it'll damage the upper case on the outside

48 endlinks are for 168.022's 198.001's and many many other models, so it should be easy to sell too

Thank you for that advice. Do you think it’s better to sell the bracelet as a whole and just use a strap?

Yes definitely, most logical thing to do is to correct the endlinks a bit and aim for around $200 - if you list the models it fits, it should eventually sell

You could sand it down and make it fit your watch, but it'll ruin the endlinks and be wrong in general

You could also go to an Omega AD with the bracelet and asked for yellow gold coated #77 endlinks, or maybe ask @Archer if it's available to purchase

AD's sell endlinks when you bring the watch with an issue as far as I learned, and #77 endlinks are a right fit for your 1175 style bracelet

Edit: And 1125 style bracelets

That one is a real stunner. Congrats! Are all of the colored dials enamel or is there another material variation? Have you ever seen one without the cracking? Also, I'm curious how noticeable it is while wearing? In one of those pictures it almost disappears.

There is another material for matte black dials, in my opinion it’s usually very noticeable which is a good thing, but in photos it’s easy for these to appear non-cracked

I’ve never seen a non-cracked enamel, I do wonder if they further crack though, my theory is heat cycles, so I try to always keep them in constant temp

I just posted this in the 'ultimate box' thread but thought I'd drop it in here too, for information.

This popped up in my alerts today. (i.e. not mine - for sale on Reddit and probably Insta)
I don't recall ever seeing a black box for a Constellation (and it looks to be the correct proportions for a Connie box)

The watch is an early gold-capped 168.017 C-case (cal 561) and somewhat over polished but the box is interesting.

Unfortunately, I don't 'do' instagram, so I don't know if there are any internal pics of the box confirming it is indeed for a Constellation.
(insta account is 'vintagewatchspirit', for anyone who would like to delve further)

Hey guys, I need to send my C-case out for service and I'm looking for some opinions. Should I ask for a service crown for the additional moisture protection or should I keep the "original" crown? Not even sure if this one is original honestly. I'm not sure if a service crown is available or what it would look like either. Of course I'd ask for my current parts back. Other than the crown question I'm just getting a movement overhaul. I want nothing else touched. Thanks for your thoughts.

Pics of the current crown situation...

You definitely should get a new 42054 crown in my opinion, yours appears like an original 42054 as well

You could ask to keep the original crown along with the stem so you can swap later on
