Got a new budget photo booth and macro lens setup, some random photos, can’t get it just right yet

This is why I think airlifters should be used on boutique watches as well, as far as I observed they are not protected by lacquer, that’s why the more they are serviced, fainter they get

Thanks @sirtaifun again for buying this for me

My 14k case C Constellation has spring bar holes that are about as shallow as I've ever seen. - more like dimples. Has anyone else noticed this? Do they require a particular spring bar in light of this?

Pictures and what’s the model number? Some solid gold models don’t actually have free lugs but modified/cut later on

Thanks. Will get some pics shortly. What are "free lugs"?

Some watches have integrated bracelets that look removable but are fused to the case

Is there a rationale as to when the constellation star appears or does not on certain C-Shape dials? Why some have it and others don't? Is it a precision reward hallmark as I have heard?

Does anyone know which box came with the Omega constellation C Shape?

I’ve seen many generic Constellation boxes, nothing too special

They had it from the beginning, later/newer models after 1972 and 1000 cal. normally don’t have it, there’s an in-between dial model without it too, you can see that model if you scroll back several pages

seeing those transition dials it makes me wonder if they ever did a nice sunburst or even a linen dial for the 1011 or 1021 cal c-cases...

I've never seen one at least.
I love that the 1011/1021 movements have the higher beat rate and hacking as well as the much nicer date quickset especially on the 1021, but I still always reach for my 751 and 564 movement c-cases in the morning as the dials are just so much nicer...

Now I spose if I really want the best of both worlds I should just buy that globemaster... but I can't see myself in a position to go for something of that class any time soon...

Hi, they are available at Omega, Cousins etc. I got mine at a Omega AD store.

Is this still a place I can buy end links? Could you provide a link?

Are there multiple variants of the gray linen dial on these? Obviously, there are many light-gray linen dials in this thread. Is there also a dark-gray linen dial, as shown in this photo (from @Toishome)? Or is it just a matter of lighting and viewing angle?

I think it is down to lighting personally, my one can go from light silver where the 'linen' effect is all but invisible, to dark silver where its clearly seen

Mainly for steel, there's light linen, there's grey linen, and there's very shiny white linen <- the last one is very pronounced, usually on 168.027's - but to make one easy conclusion, yes there are many different shades and different runs

I'm pretty sure the one you shared is a grey linen, not the best contrast, but it's my favourite

You can see shiny white vs grey here:

Globemaster is top.
