That's funny... I was at the museum 2 days ago talking to the guys from the archives and they told me that there never found a "code commande cadran" concerning a racing dial... so where is that extract coming from ????

    Hey guys, happy new year,
finally I am considering to sell my Racing. Preferably to a collector who values this watch!
If someone knows anybody who is willing to pay an acceptable price for it, please let me know. BTW: 30k€ is insufficient ;)!
    I have no hurry...

    Best regards

    hey Fraenk

what's the story behind this piece?
what could you tell us where you did get this watch from?

simply found it at a neighbours garage nearby?

    Hi Müslüm,
    I was a very lucky guy ;)!
I found this watch on ebay at a saturday and it was only a one-day auction. The photos were not showing the movement or the inner caseback and at all the photos have not been the best.
I did some quick research on the web and from optical inspection everything looked like a real 145.022-69 racing.
The bids were low since noone was aware of this treasure....
So I took my heart and took the risk and won the auction.....

I talked to the seller and he did not know what he had! He only knew about Omega-Speedmaster and what he found about a Speedmaster at google. HE expected some thousands euros and was really surprised about the last bid.....

Finally both are happy! But I can be more happy lol!!!!

To be fair, what I think this is, is an omega serviced watch.

I have seen several 48m serial movements in 69 cased watches, and also in a MKII telestop- that was a crying shame as it was uncertifiable by omega. As indeed would this watch be.

I believe there was a time when omega swapped the entire movement at service, and replaced it with a 48m serial.

Of the grey racing dial speedmasters I have held or owned several appear with MKII hands.
Who knows why, and several of those have been to omega, leading me to think omega put them on at service.
Also the state of the dials varies wildly, from looking NOS with bright clear colours to faded and washed out like many MkII's.
Then we have to ask which is worth more?
    ::stirthepot::

We need more pictures from more greys.

    Anyone?
