Yes, I know the show can be a bit cringey at times, but it's a decent watch when there is not else on late at night and I'm trying to get caught up on work emails. Looks like all of their social media accounts are down. Website down. Not answering phone calls, VM full. If this is a stunt to build interest in their YouTube channel, I think they have achieved their goal...at the expense of undermining consumer confidence. Who would wire these guys money after a stunt like this? Or send their watch in to consign. yikes...
My guess is they blew up and it isnt surpising. People reporting that the store is gone. A sign that the top is in? https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=809263&page=6
I watched it occasionally, but found the episodes overly long. Some editing to get to the point of each episode would have helped. Not surprised if they are out of business — always seemed like they taking orders for watches they didn’t have, then trying to find them and only making a few thousand dollar profit. It didn’t seem like a sustainable business model.
I didn't really understand the business model either, considering they have the 2 principals + the ops guy + the younger sales manager guy (dylan) + all the other sales guys (albert, vic, the other younger kid they pretend fired) + the videographer. That's alot of mouths to feed if you're 'only' selling 30-40 watches a week, at $1,000 - $2,000 per watch average profit. Plus rent, insurance, travel and the endless dinners at Nick & Sams. LOL
how short sighted do you have to be to do something like that and ruining a good business that you have built up?
[Outing myself as a compulsive consumer of YouTube watch content... I'm sure I'm the only one! ] Comments and responses from the latest video in the new Wolves of Watch Street channel (these guys have been featured in several of TPG's recent videos, have done business with Anthony and Marco, etc.)
Glad never did business with them. Prefer to give my money do DavidSW, Roman, or reputable sellers here on the forum.
Summary: He's saying he has no idea what's happened, but confirmed they can't be reached, and they appeared to have disappeared. He's hoping it's a joke, trying to stay hopeful, etc. TPG's disappearance is a particular problem for Josh, his business, and his channel because they're so obviously protégés of Anthony and Marco, and this video is Josh doing his best to put some distance and try to do damage control. Good luck with that.
I guess they gathered just enough money to call Best Quality Vacuum and ask for a dust filter for a Hoover Max.
Unless that was their plan all along.... I know nothing about them Was it really a good business? lol
What makes you think they had a good business? The fact they made some Youtube videos making it seem so?
I'm not sure what is more sickening to read; the story of how these people tricked people out their money, or how the quoted publication throughout the article states "always seemed like...", "we knew something was not quite right...", etc. yet clearly did nothing at all about. Either you are a really shitty person for not doing anything at the time and now trying to gain some cred, or you are just getting on the bandwagon trying to appear clever.
