·Is there a reason Omega didn't name the recent Speedmaster Pilot as part of a reimagined Flightmaster line? I remember hearing a couple of years ago, apocryphally, that Omega couldn't use the 'Flightmaster' name anymore since it was sold to Seiko. However, I can find no such record of any such transfer, and at least on the US side of things, it seems a private person has recently applied for ownership of the 'Flightmaster' trademark, and the mark itself isn't owned by Omega (at least in the US).
If anyone more knowledgeable on the topic could say a word or two to satisfy my curiosity, that would be great!
Anyway, a photo of my 145.013 for eye-candy below, fully serviced and refinished by TM Watch Co.!
