IMHO proof that esoteric research isn't always dull and can be very interesting, even eye-opening in the case of the spaceflight legacy of the Omega Speedmaster chronographs.
This is only the tip of an iceberg on detailed information about the NASA-issued Speedies used in both 1960s-1970s and later on during 1980s-1990s STS flights and modern-day ISS spaceflight missions...
Lots of info visible in plain sight in official NASA photos and anecdotes/memories direct from astronaut encounters.
