Makes it easy for me. I just can’t do a jubilee on anything but a datejust. Even on a datejust I prefer an oyster. Cleaner, simple lines are always a plus.

Tudor Black Bay GMT is the HIT watch of Basel so far for me😀. In-house movement with vintage looking case and a true Pepsi red, not the awful pink on the Rolex GMT 2 Pepsi.

Bloody Hell ! ...That's very attractive...and if manufactured on the same lines, as the 79350 Chronograph....it will be built like a Panzer

I've wanted to get an Everest curved leather strap for my modern Explorer II since I got it 2 years ago. I have several aftermarket rubber/leather straps that 'fit' between the lugs but I prefer a curved strap that closes the gaps. The Everest website shows 16 different watches they have custom straps for and not one of them fits my watch (I contacted them to confirm...).

Everest put an IG post out 2 weeks ago saying they’re in the final stages of development for the 42mm Explorer II strap. Be patient, it’s almost here.

The more I look at the new GMT 2, the more I realise how absolute dog shit the maxi case is.

The maxi case, and also IMO that blingy "ROLEX ROLEX ROLEX" rehaut they put on all of their new watches, are so repellent that though a steel GMT with a pepsi bezel is HUGE watch news I just don't give a damn

Haven’t heard anything yet. But I hope it has an oyster <sits back, stirring pot>

Yeah I know what you mean. Last time I was walking in the woods I saw loads of Rolex GMTs growing around the place but not a single Tudor 😉

For that quality of manufacture, that movement, and half the price.....For me, it can look as weird as it likes

Tudor really hit it out of the park this year. This 39mm BB 58 is really tempting. Nice to see some movement away from the dinner plate on a wrist.

^ I agree, 39mm is a GREAT size for a diver. And that's just a lovely watch overall.

I've been on the white dial ceramic Daytona wait list for TWO YEARS and I'd rather have this one, but I'm not f'ing happy about moving my name to another list just to wait another two f'ing years! I got on as #1 at one local Rolex AD and with 19 stores they haven't gotten one for me yet (because I don't spend enough with them). I've been on the other AD list maybe as #10, and they've only received 2 last year and 1 this year.

I know Rolex is gonna play the same bullshit games with this one too. I don't even know why I still care about them.
That’s infuriating. There are too many other watches out there to make this worth it, IMO. Do they require a deposit?

by unnatural i mean rolex has made pepsi gmts since the 1950s. that's 70 some years of history and tradition. tudor has made pepsi gmts since...now. i get that they are sister companies and there is a market for the lower price point but this to me is trying to usurp the history and tradition of one watch to another. i guess this is why i only collect vintage watches.

What does everyone think of the two-tone "root beer" (sort of) GMT? I haven't seen nearly as much buzz around it compared to the Pepsi but I think it might even be cooler. Looks absolutely amazing on wrist. The bezel sort of almost reminds me of a 6542.

Edit: Of course, this one is priced at $14k which serves to kill the buzz just a little bit...

I'm digging this one so much... I've never bought a new watch over 200€ in my life, but this could be the first.
Damn, I don't need another watch.

Hmm... can a guy dream about Tudor putting a GMT movement into the 39mm BB1958 case? The Black Bay in-house cases are just a bit too thick for my liking (the ETA cases were about the limit) but that would just be bangin'
