Omega wrote a book on this entire fiasco I think, foreword by Hodinkee!

Let me find an image...

Mario then - if he reads us, my apologies 😵‍💫
My mistake, his name was Mariano, but I was close 😉

Congratulations! My finger hovered over "Add To Bag" for a minute and then I got distracted and it was sold out.

There's a funny in the 2K pieces/day though...how could this reconcile vs. ca. 700-800K pieces/yr?

That'd take working 365 days a year of the simplest one to assemble to crank out that throughput.... the 365/yr doesn't quite match with the "relaxed" atmosphere we saw on the production lines towards the end of the tour we both attended 😁

They assemble in multiple locations...

Do they?😵‍💫

When we were there in 2016, I seem to remember mention of three (maybe 4?) locations in Switzerland...

So it’s confirmed that shipments were delayed again? I received the email saying I could expect the watch along with the gift between Jan 25th-Jan 30th but haven’t heard anything yet.

I was in the Jan 25th-30th batch as well. I followed up today after not hearing anything either and this is what I was told ...

"I'm pleased to share that we've just received word that your watch will be arriving with us by Friday at the latest, and that we'll be shipping it out as soon as we've received it."

You guys get a $500 credit?!!

I haven't heard anything about that. Would be a nice gesture if they did that for everyone who prepaid in full.

I just got off of the phone with my OB manager. I was told that they are delivering their first Hodinkee today. They have 5 total and I am number 3 on their list. I was told that it should not be past March...

Interestingly, I just got a shipment email/tracking number with delivery scheduled for tomorrow ... after being told yesterday that my watch wouldn't arrive at Hodinkee's office until Friday. Either way, I'm not going to complain!

Reports coming in of Ben and Raynald trying to find their own, and each others backsides in a well lit 2m x 2m room and failing... ::facepalm1::

I know I'm a little late to the party but I had to wait exactly 367 days between reserving my Speedy Tuesday LE and receiving it. Mine was one of the last few to arrive in fact. That being said, I think first deliveries for that special edition occurred roughly 6 months after it was first announced. So for anyone still waiting, all hope is not lost - it's only been ~5 months. I would even go as far as to say that Hodinkee's hands are tied and it's all on Omega at this point. Not sure what the hold up is (for the STLE it was a quality issue with the dial), but I can assure you it's totally worth the wait once you do finally receive your watch.

I would have opened it immediately to make sure there isn't just an IOU in there 😉

Usually Hodinkee collaborations are available immediately. This is all on Omega, seems standard procedure now
