    Hi ΩF

Have reduced asking to USD 19,000 in light of the market...

The 105.002-62 offered here was delivered in Switzerland in June 1963. I bought the watch about this time last year from a highly regarded member of the OF community, and it has been worn just a handful of times since. It was to be a 'forever' piece but have found that my taste runs to larger case sizes, and needs must with a classic car engine to rebuild...

This is of course a 'transitional' reference, produced for about six months, with an estimated 2,000 pieces delivered. Speedmaster 101 notes that when "a privately owned 105.002 appears on the open market it is fiercely contested." That would be nice!

To my knowledge the watch is 100% correct / original in every aspect. The backstory is that it was acquired from the original Swiss owner via a watchmaker known to my seller. I am not an aficianado so relying on the photos to tell much of the the story, but I do draw on the prior seller's description (who certainly does fit the aficionado label), and advice from other knowledgeable individuals.

Dial is very clean with some, very minor darker spots, but no scratches or any other damage. Alpha and chrono hands are tritium and show the same behaviour under UV as the lume plots. There is some degradation in the lume, which has darkened with age, and one of the 12 marker dots and small pieces from the 1 and 3 hour markers are missing.

DON bezel insert has a small chip between 85 and 90 and some very light wear on the bezel itself.

Correct small pushers and 24 tooth flat feet crown. The case shows use but is fat with no signs of damage. Facets are clearly visible on the lugs - which are in great shape - and double bevel and clearly visible, crisp engraving on the caseback.

Calibre 321 movement no. 19.832.404 is very clean and was fully serviced prior to my purchase by the highly regarded Atelier D'Horlogerie (Romain) in Switzerland.

The Extract of Archives is the full A4-sized version. It was sent separately to the watch and did sustain some minor water damage in transit. I have replaced the Musee folder with an unmarked one from another extract.

The watch is presented for sale as shown on a vintage leather strap with a signed stainless steel buckle and with period correct Omega box. I do have a matching 7912 bracelet stamped 2/63 in excellent condition (with very good repro #6 end links) and happy to discuss inclusion in the sale if desired.

    Sale terms and conditions.
19,000 USD (EUR / GBP / major currency equivalent) direct to my Wise account. This is below my cost last year and I trust appropriately reflects the current market and relative value to other offerings.

The watch and I are in New Zealand so fully-insured shipping via Fedex International Priority is included to wherever you are in the world. Return is accepted only if I have somehow grossly mis-represented the watch.

This is the first watch I have offered for sale - but have several references as a buyer available in the Seller Profiles and Reviews forum.

All comments about the watch (and certainly any corrections to the description) are very welcome. Please message me with any query or clarification.

    Thanks ΩF for this space
