路I found an RG movement without a case, I suspect it was melted for "scrap" gold - never quite understood the use of the word scrap with gold. "Hey, send us the gold you would normally just toss into the garbage and we will give you a few bucks".....
Anyways, it is in pretty bad shape and I am on a salvage mission. I have a 38mm 18k gold case that will be its new home, and the movement/dial are going through a complete restoration. I can tell you this watch will cost me 2X what I could find an intact one for, and then will not have the proper case - BUT, I feel good about restoring a piece of history. I will post a complete write up on the project with photos once completed!

Completed restoration.... might swap to an even nicer case, and not entirely happy with the salvage on the second hand (they attempted to save the original which was bent, and still has a bit of a bend in it).
