There are a couple of project watches I bought before Universal went stratospheric, and now I can't find or can't afford the relevant spares. The square time-only was my first vintage watch, inherited from my uncle -- really -- in the 90s. I knew nothing back then and succumbed to a pushy salesman's pitch to have the dial refinished.... Regrets, I've had a few.

    Hello together,
I have been reading this forum for some time and now I have found the time to make some pics of my UG Tri.
It is the small version, around 34mm, with crab lugs.

Ok, I should have cleaned it before...

It would be even more interesting if some mongrel hadn't scarred up the dial around the 1 o'clock mark...

How much interest do you think there would be for a Sydney GTG?

A very humble UG compared to the ones posted here, but I somehow find it very charming: 20160712_223902.jpg

I'm invited to a small GTG actually for about 10 people this Friday, and there's a major GTG in another group at the end of the month for about 35-40 people. Mixed of modern and vintage.

But if you're keen to meet up, I'm sure I can organize a vintage night and bring some people around. We have quite a few members lives in Sydney as well!

You think you just get your coat and walk away from this addiction? no such luck, if you're anything like me, you'll need the full 12-step, aversion therapy, and to avoid even a glimpse of a chrono hand or a moonphase for some considerable time to avoid a compax relapse...

Adding my newly acquired 262. Yes, the dial is problematic, but I got it for a song, and I love the lugs, the nipple markers and the "12" font:

new to the forum and UG's. Bought a non working 287 to rescue and bring back to life. Mostly complete missing hour registry parts and a broken moon disc post. Cleaned and reassembled. Keeps great time. Chrono working well. Found the moon disc post will get that corrected. The hour registry is another issue. Someone really boogered up the bridge plate trying to remove a broken screw.

No need to be sorry. Doesn't bother me. My interest is in the movements. Bringing vintage timepieces like these back to life is what I like to to. Locating parts I need for the hour registry is much more important to me than the dial. Thanks for the reply
