An vendor from eBay offer for sale cal. 30t2-family dial, which looks extraordinary.
It's damn interesting to find-out if this dial is Omega authentic and if it so, how complete wristwatch looks like (what was the case, what kind of hands been used etc).
Would not touch it with a very long Pole ... Look at the print quality. Asymmetric cross for the small second ...
You are right, the cross looks asymmetrical.
But such a design is quite difficult to manufacture - is there any point in making a fake dial that would be so technologically complex?
IMO, the dial is original. The only holes on the back of the dial that I see are 2 for the Omega logo and 2 for each of the indices at 12.3.6. and 9.
I also do not see the typical scratched in numbers on the back or a redialler's notch.
However, the hour and minute hands on the eBay example do not seem to be original.
The sub-seconds hand might be original. My guess is that the original hands were either long stick hands or dauphine. I would need to see a different example.
There is a case that will fit this dial on eBay right now. At least the reference number matches the one in the post immediately above.
