Finally after a severe case of procrastination, my 1991 Omega Speedmaster 145.0022ST is in the service departments hands at NESBIT's.

FedEx to Seattle went fine-check
Receipt of watch by NESBIT's-check
Communication with Jan great-check
Estimate received-check
Estimate accepted-check

Now I await the service with baited breath.

Tune in for results.

How much are they charging for a standard Speedmaster service these days? Comparable to Omega's "flat" rate which was $750 last time I checked? Parts additional?

In that ballpark price wise.
When service is completed I’ll provide full disclosure.
One part quoted at $31.
I assume the turn around will trounce a trip to Europe

My experience, their prices puts them in-line with Omega's, but being a small shop with a couple highly-skilled watchmakers, at least you don't have that assmbly-line approach that Omega uses.

dammit, had to find a certain screw for the watch. Completion delayed a couple days. Oh well, patience is a virtue

I've used Nesbit's three times. I've been very happy each time. Jan is great to work with.

I have sent 3 watches off to Nesbit's. All 3 we're much better than anticipated when returned.
Great service, great communication, great watchmakers!
And talking to Jan, is always a pleasure.

My speedmaster needed a couple parts and was around 800 ish for service. Needed both pushers and a crown...

I used Nesbit's a couple of years ago after an unfortunate mishap with my Moonwatch, and had outstanding results- good to know they're still around. I've got an X-33 and a TinTin I need to send their way for routine service...

Agree with y’all that Nesbit’s is great for omega service. Doesn’t cost you any less than SGUS but you don’t have to deal with the numb-skulls in SGUS!
They serviced this one for me in 2020…
