I can say that as of early 2024 Omega was not putting the mark on the case after service, at least not on my 3523.80 and 1987 Constellation that both had full services. I didn’t get the red travel box with either of them as well. But did get my new white 3861 back in one.

The more I think about it, the more curious I get. Broke out the parts that were returned with my watch and I am really thinking I either got someone else’s and not mine, or in addition to mine. My watch face definitely was changed due to how brightly it glows now and I’ve always had a non-outlined date window. Yet, the one that was returned is outlined. That, along with two sets of hour and minute hands and three crowns, makes me really wonder what’s going on. Anyone had a similar experience? I’m completely trusting that a proper service was done and not a “quick and dirty” and returned some old parts that were laying around…..

Your Seamaster looks fantastic, beatiful brushing.

You got all the part that was left on the bench one friday evening as they closed up shop for the weekend. " F..k it send the exstra parts of to Rheide, lets go for a beer!"

I received an extra balance back w a recent service on a speedmaster. It has a small note on the side that said defective, so I can only assume it didn’t pass testing and was replaced, and they just included it since it had been in rhe watch. Maybe similar situation with the hands, pulled wrong ones or something. Now youve got options. !Great looking watch! ENJOY the next 20 w it

OK. So heard back from Omega US. As stated by a couple of others, the case back was replaced and the logo in question is the OMEGA World Service logo. What that means and why it’s there wasn’t explained. The extra parts were due to not passing standards when installed on watch and had to be replaced. The question regarding the dial being different was explained as new dials don’t have the date box outline due to becoming comparatively brighter as the lume hour-marks age and dim. Apparently this is an improvement in how the dial looks over time. Case closed!
