·$1100 isn't probably 'just' a mechanical service. If any originality is of any concern, I'd be concerned. It's also a lot of money for what should be pretty basic.
I am surprised at the price too. On Omega's website the price is $700-$800 https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/customer-service/interventions-and-prices/price-information
In my experience Omega will listen to what you specify, but then again, the watches I have sent to them are close to being basket-cases and given what they started with, Omega did a great job.
What Omega quote there is only relevant for a fairly recent model, ie from circa 1980 onwards. Most things earlier than that will be treated as a 'Special Timepiece' or a candidate for Restoration on a case by case basis and will cost more. I thought that was pretty apparent from this thread where we have been saying it would be 4 figures from the start.

And 7 months for a movement service.
The OP has expressed that he is not disturbed by this, then neither should we as he is happy to pay it in full without our financial contribution!!!
I hear the humor, but you are also correct about this. I just don't understand the point of the thread since he ignored all the advice that he had requested.
