Yeah we got a little behind on our initial target date. Looks like it should be ready by about the middle of this month
Thanks for the update. Really looking forward to this one!

Just got my Astronaut back and put it on the Komfit bracelet that I've had waiting for it this past month.

I've loved this combo since I first saw it.

I posted yesterday but today I want to briefly sing the praises of this new Komfit. Firstly, it's komfortable, which I think is paramount for any watch band. Secondly, it's well made, there are no sharp edges, the clasp is solidly constructed and the end links are sturdy. Thirdly, it looks amazing, both at a distance and close up. I love the attention to detail, the JB trademarks on the sides of the clasp and the Forstner Komfit on the inside of the clasp all look great. I've wanted one of these for a long time now but refused to pay what the originals go for; this is a great alternative, you get the style and functionality of the original at a fraction of the cost.

@Waltesefalcon
On a steel mesh JB Champion... As worn on MA-9 (Cooper) and Gemini III (both Grissom & Young)...
Speedy, I actually geeked out a little and sent photos to a couple of friends with me, Cooper, and Grissom all wearing our Astronauts on our mesh JB Champion bracelets. I couldn't find a good photo of Young's watch.

Checked today and the flat links are available for ordering!!! Got my order in. Solid end links and screw links - what a nice surprise.

A comparison of this vs the US flat link would be interesting.

I'm also curious how the SEL is going to work in the various Speedmaster cases. I have had issues moving bracelets from one to the other and have not been able to get the later SEL to fit earlier cases.

We have thankfully had success testing our end link on the new and previous generation (3570.50) cases, and supply spring bars that should make the fitting process easier 😀

Nice!

I'm just curious about the "loads of rattly vintage charm".

But I'm sure I'll get one of this.

That particular statement was made in reference to the vintage version, not ours 😀

I mean, you can tell by looking at them. The US is meant to a fairly close recreation whereas the Forstner is a modern bracelet taking inspiration from the vintage flat links.

US - light and rattley, thin, hollow end links, pins, no stretch links, inexpensive
Forstner - Heavier, thicker, solid end links, screws, stretch links, slightly less inexpensive

how wide is the opening on the end link that accepts the mid link?
