Just saw this show up on my Instagram
I’m wondering what the differences are. I know the current one has fit issues on some other 20mm Omega’s (due to the solid endlinks), so would it be a better fit to the older SM300 024 cases as well?

I was wondering that as well. I know many on here have just used/adapted the current bracelet. Maybe it’s a better designed/speaker end link?

Has anybody swapped one solid end link bracelet between a Moonwatch 3570 and an SMP300 2531 without modification?

I found this thread while looking for a bracelet that fits both.

It looks like if I want one bracelet that will fit both I have to go with the Komfit. Being able to swap one flat link between 20mm lug watches would be nice, but sounds like it won’t work (I would rather spend $125 vs $250). I also have a 3820.53 so the Komfit would even fit the 19mm lugs on that one. It’s a unique look but it’s growing on me.

I am liking Forstner more and more as I see them on different watches. The bracelets on the 3820.53 and 2531.80 are not micro adjustable so some days they are tight and others they are loose. I am looking for another bracelet option since I hate having to add and remove links to get the optimal fit on those.

Was wondering the same thing. I have asked Forstner and will let the OF know what they reply.

Forstners very prompt reply.

Hello and thank you! The 1450 20mm end links have essentially the same fit as the 20mm flat link end pieces.

The Flat Link 20mm has been reported to fit the vintage SM300, so I expect the 1450 will also. If not a perfect immediate fit, you could file down the little tabs on the back of the end piece until you get the proper fit.

That’s good to know. Fiddling and fitting is part of the joy with this hobby. A good set of files and a Dremel should be part of any watch enthusiasts kit.

Little endlink comparison here, Seamaster on the left, Speedmaster on the right:

Anyway the flat link bracelet looks good on both 😀

Does anyone know if the new post-2021 flat link bracelet endlinks fit to the 1861 Speedmaster. I know it sounds a bit stupid but I’m asking because the post-2021 end links don’t have the little lug stopper tabs. The new 3861 OEM bracelet doesn’t have them either and it fits the 1861 Speedmaster (there is a thread about here in the forum). The tabs tend to scratch the lugs so I prefer end links without them.

Do I have to get the pre-2021 end links for my 1861 SMP or are the post-2021 end links backwards compatible?

I finally ordered a straight end original Komfit and received it today. I liked the look on the Moonwatch and the history behind it. It’s certainly a unique look with the narrow mesh portion that almost looks too small compared to modern bracelets. I plan to wear it on my 3570 but also hoped it would work on my 3520.

I could not find any pictures on the 3520, so just in case anybody else is interested, see the picture below. The Komfit fits but you may need to push the one end of the pin toward the case with a tool to get them seated properly. The pin holes are fairly close to the case on this one so clearance is tight. It just barely fits but it looks very cool.

This retro bracelet paired with the retro-styled dial of the 3520.53 completes the look perfectly. It also seems to be the perfect size with the narrow lug width.

Mine arrived yesterday and I couldn't wait to put in on my FOIS. Noticed within a few minutes that the the band rubs against the case of my FOIS. Not hard but enough that there is resistance when the endlink turns. After just a few hours, this is what the end link looks like.

That's quite a bit of scratching for a few hours wear. I was a little disappointed but I knew it was probably something I could fix.

So after a couple of tries, I managed to sand and polish the endlink to make sure that there is some clearance to the case.

and finally, here it is on my FOIS. Now with adequate clearance to prevent rubbing and scratching of the case.

Hello!

I have recently acquired a Speedmaster ref. 105.012-65, a vintage Speedmaster with the twisted lug case, and is considering a Forstner Komfit.. Do you know whether the distance between the barrets and the case is different on the twisted lug Speedy than on the straight lug Speedy?
How much did you really have to sand and polish the endlinks?
