I’ve been trying to reduce my “collection” this year to 7 wear everyday classics - I’m not sure that worked, there’s still too many, but hey ho!
I started the year saying that i’d like to add a Tudor Snowflake or a Seamaster 300 - that didn’t happen. Maybe ships have sailed there, but I’m pleased with my lot.
Thanks to everyone who’s helped me along the way, in no particular order:-
@GuiltyBoomerang for the battle scarred, Patina perfect 6105
@simonfreese @Spacefruit for my awesome Freese101, my most worn watch of 2019
@ChrisN for bringing my beautiful Yema back to 100%
@neilfrancis for the great Mk2 Racing
.....and thanks of course to all the Mods, for keeping this place the safe haven that it is!
All the best
Nathan
The second one totally fooled me ... 100%. 😲
My welcome to vintage year:
Omega flightmaster and speedmaster
Seikos from the 70’s: 6306, 6319, 6318, and a modern Sumo
and a cat. That’s not vintage. At all.
I sold my entire U.S. coin collection...with a face value of 78 [whole] cents...
...to fund the purchase of a birth year 1964 Echo Whiskey from @Darlinboy ...
Well since you asked
Tenant went rouge on Meth/ice and left $10k damage that insurance didn’t cover and didn’t pay rent for 3 months, took another 4-5 months to fix without tenants.
Just glanced at the watch box. It has 12 spaces and I have 12 watches 😀
2 x Omega
2 x Casio
2 x Seiko
1 x Rolex
1 x Orient
1 x Magrette
1 x Glycine
1 x Marathon
1 x Swatch
Categories covered, dress, diver, chrono, dual time, solar, radio synch, auto, manual wind, quartz. Having no need (or interest) in complications such as GMT or moonphase, and a positive dislike of skeleton/openheart unreadable dials, I'm pretty much content with where I am at present.
And still no Speedmaster 😁
