I ended up adding three watches this year, BLNR on jubilee, Rolex Prince in white gold and a Tudor BB58.

Ebay was very kind this year:

Longines Chronometer Flagship.

And a pickup, at the 11th hour, that I’m pretty excited about. Can’t wait to get it in hand.

Many thanks to Longines’ fantastic heritage department for their phenomenal service!

I didn't think I'd traded many watches in 2019... but the spreadsheet tells a different story!

In February, this Accurist chronograph, with a Landeron 248 inside arrived from the bottom of ebay, and went off to James Harris at Harris Horology for a full service, and a new crystal.

In March, more ebay digging led to this Omega flightmaster 145.036, which was lightly used, but with the seals having turned to gloop, and me wanting to wear it often, went off to Swiss Time Services for a full cat4 service... ouch.

Followed a couple of days later by this early 20th century Omega Ladies Fob Watch:

And then the departure of this 168.017 Constellation:

In May... the flightmaster 145.026 project arrived from a chap who popped up on the forum, asking what to do with it... I took on the challenge, and it's currently sat in the safe awaiting the required funds to put it right

August involved more ebay bottom feeding, and the arrival of this Omega CK2175/5 that needs a new sweep second hand, a crystal, and a service... one more for Mr. Harris.

In September, I bought a diving watch to take diving... something rated for much deeper water than my freshly acquired PADI Open Water Scuba Diver qualification - the CWC RN MK2 Auto Diver.

In November, I raffled off my Oris Diver 65 Movember Edition to raise money for Movember (we hit £11,200 at close of play), and sent it off to the winner @larryganz

The year ended with another ebay pickup, albeit from someone who lived a 20 minute walk from my front door - in the form of this CK2165A CS(i), that’s not running, needs a new balance staff, and a crystal... something else for James Harris’s sympathetic horological touch... and so far undying patience.

This was my first year in the hobby and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to enter into it.

I am a father of two boys and this year I decided sport bikes and motorcycles in general were no longer a hobby beneficial to my family considering the safety risks and teenagers with phones in their faces at 70mph and 6 feet away from me.

I sold my bike and all my accessories and race parts accumulated throughout the last 13 years.

Long story short I bought my first Omega, found this forum and have been learning A LOT ever since.

My collection thus far in chronological order:

Triple Date:

Aqua Terra:

Seamaster 145.006:

Omega ST1:

King Seiko Special from OF:

Seiko Chrono from OF:

My last purchase of 2019 being a beautiful flightmaster 145.036 from OF:

Very good year looking back at it. I am very happy to finally have a flightmaster in the box. After my Triple Date purchase and getting into the hobby I have longed for a 145.013 and hope to add a beautiful example like my 145.036 in the near future. Just haven’t come across one yet that checked all the boxes.

Hope everyone has good luck hunting in 2020 and enjoys their collections in good health!

I bought my first Omega, a Seamaster DeVille circa 1965. I love the watch! I also added a Hamilton Jazzmaster and Seiko 5 field watch to my small collection. I'm hoping to add a few more vintage watches in 2020.
