This is a military version. Omega allowed military units to purchase watches, and the case back was custom engraved for the specific military unit. In addition, these watches are serviced free for life by Omega.

I bought this one a few years back.

Mines qualified.
It's actually one of my favorite watches to wear but I need to get it in for a battery change as the light isn't working.
Ignore me, mines the Solar Impulse, sorry!

To all of you skywalker owners- I just got into Omega watches (after liking them for a really long time). Previously, I've been a quartz owner. I don't really have anything against quartz OR mechanical watches, and admire them both for the different advantages they offer.

Over the last couple of weeks I've looked at the X33 more and more seriously as something I'd honestly love to own and wear- it ticks a TON of boxes in my "what I'm looking for in a watch" category.

How does it wear? What does it look good with? Do you ever take it off?

It can be very useful if you have a lot of commitments and are the kind of person who will program them into the watch. I am that kind of person, but I really don't need the reminders; I just like them.

I wear mine in rotation with some others, but almost exclusively when I have day long events to attend or have presentations to make. Still, I don't need the features, I just like them.

It goes with anything, short of a suit IMO. I suppose you could pull it off with a suit, but I don't have to wear one regularly (which is why I think it isn't the right combination).

Wore this one for a few days last week, while I hosted 18 team members from around the country to a two day session (training and team building):

How come I can't find this watch on the omega website?

On the website under "Speedmaster" and then "Instruments"

I have the Solar Impulse edition (same thing just change in colors) and love it! It's a comfortable cool watch. I tend to wear mine on a NATO most of the time.

I want to get the Mission to Mars edition as well

Hi Erich, It is the perfect watch for travel with the count downs, GMT time and two times zones, alarms to wake up, timers and chrono. It is also the perfect watch when you need zero risk of failure and absolute precision.

It's a super cool tool watch. The reality is, I don't need most of those functions although I COULD find a reason to use them. I haven't had an alarm on a watch in years, but tbh- it's honestly a spectacular feature that I could use.
The water resistance is essentially spot on for most of what I do
I'm on the fence if I miss being able to read the date on my watch or not
The backlight feature is nice and the lume seems nice

I could come up with a use case for it definitely and I've got all of the tools to change the battery.

Definitely a spectacularly cool watch.

HI Duc, Seiko4169, or anybdy else who owns a X-33,
This is a specific question with regard to the pictures posted who shows the T1 screen with Date and time but no Day of the week. I don't have bought the X-33 yet but I was going to order it until I downloaded and read the manual.

Is it correct understood that there is no way to have the date and day of the week on the screen at the same time? Just like in your picture but showing the day of the week instead of T1? Seems that the only place where that is possible is in UTC mode, but that is not very useful unless you live in UTC-land 😉.

I know that the DOW can be shown on page 2 of T1, but why change the order compared to UTC? The ISO number o0f the day is totally useless for most people leaving on the planet earth and not in space.

I have a Brietling Exospace B-55 which (can do that) and I had already set on sale to finance the purchase of the Omega X-33 before I read the manual.

Please tell me that is me not reading the manually correctly and not Omega designers that lost it 🙁

Thanks a lot

I'm having a hard time with your question. The picture I posted (and you linked), shows the date and time. The date is 14 02 2023 (Feb 14, 2023), the time is 1032 and 6 seconds. None of the screens on the G3 show day of week. The UTC screen shows the day of year, not the day of week.

I don't believe the screens are adjustable, so there is no way to get the day of week to show up. As that's one thing I can remember, its never been an issue with me.

For manuals, if you have an Apple I-Pad, an interactive manual used to be available on the Omega website. It only works on that platform though.

Hi Duc,

Thanks for trying. I think I have edited the post 7 times trying to make it more clear but I see it is not. So here are two pictures of wat I mean (taken from the manual):

As far as I see here, if the watch is in UTC display mode and page 2 is selected the display will show the date, the time, the day of the week and even the week number. The last two alternating. Is that what your watch shows also? That is wonderful. Everything I need on earth in one screen, which is when I am not on the space station. However, this is valid for UTC which is nmot my time zone. So changing to T1 (or T2) I get the following from the manual:

But now (compared to the UTC display) the ISO number of the day has been swapped from page 1 to page 2! 🙁
Since I see no rational reason to do that, I can have the irrational hope that maybe is a print error? What does your watch say?

Thanks so much.

Hello Axel69, the manual is correct:
- In T1 (or T2) the default screen is date and time, when pressing twice the crown it becomes day of the year, week number, week day, time. The week number and the week day showing in alternance.
- In UTC the default screen is day of the year and time, when pressing twice the crown it becomes date, week number week day, time. The week number and the week day showing in alternace
As a summary the difference between UTC and T1/T2 is the swap between first and second screen of day number / date.
I do not think it is illogical to invert default screen between UTC and T1/T2 allows you to see different data when scrolling between times.
Here below some pictures I just took for you of the different screens to be sure it is clear for you - the names of the pictures files tells you what screen you are looking at.
