How do you guys do for those backs ? Are they hard to obtain from omega ?
Thought the custom order option was only offered to US Military Personnel. I remember seeing a catalog of all possible (or existing) engraving options at my OB during one of my past visits...
May be someone around here has a picture of that "catalog".

That's a pretty awesome looking watch regardless of the strap! Thanks for the tips on the Maratec straps and whilst I like the titanium components, I'm not a fan of the round/curvy hardware...... especially when you compare them to the flat edged hardware on your Redux straps which look AMAZING!!!

Anyone else know where I can get these Redux (or similar angled buckle design) from??? Perhaps I need to post in the specific straps posts.
Actually, I remembered another supplier: https://prometheusdesignwerx.com/collections/watch-accessories

They restock periodically and have 20mm versions in black. If you really want to throw some coin in the mix, try this:

Ahhhh shizer..... sorry to cause confusion, I mean that I'd seen a lot of X-33 Regatta watched being sold, not the Solar Impulse! Sorry if I got anyone's hoped up! 🙁 🙁

I love the X-33 for everything it stands for.
It’s a serious “tool watch” in the true spirit of this phrase that has been associated with Rolex for years. The X-33 Skywalker is a an evolution of the original X-33 and moves the game on in terms of the case quality and the display of the digital sub functions. Refreshingly this is a watch that is all about the reality of its potential and not about marketing hype.

You guys convinced me. I have an X-33 Solar Impulse incoming. Sorry @cruise, just had to have the color. But now I want to find a titanium bracelet to have a full kit.

Another useful purpose: Yesterday (and for the next two Fridays), I delivered my annual report to a group of managers in my company. I set the timer to alert me at the -2 minutes mark of my allotted time so I could start wrapping up. The alarm is so loud, everyone in the room heard it. I was able to milk some laughter from the room by holding it up (as it was on the lectern, not on my wrist), proclaiming "Two minute warning." Afterwards a couple of managers approached me and wanted to see my watch. WISs in the making.

I guess you had to be there...

Nice. Would you have a wider shot with the bracelet to have a general idea in this configuration ?

Here you go...

Thank you much.
It really works well. This touch of yellowish/green gives the watch a relax vibe ideal for the summer.

Which bracelet is this? The one from the previous Gen X-33?

Looks great!

Here in January, summer seems a long way away. I have far too many black dialed watches, so this gives me a bit of variety. I also love the lumed bezel, which the “regular” version lacks. The original Nato is too over the top for me though.

BTW, the bracelet was swapped over from my X-33 Gen2 —- it fits perfectly.

Agree, the color scheme is pretty cool!!

Aside from the aesthetic differences, are all functions the same ??

As far as I know they’re identical. The Regatta version is quite different though.

As you know the "Solar Impulse" version comes on NATO strap. I love how they look and how comfortable they are to wear, but I hate how they add 3-4mm of thickness under the case, especially thick one like on X-33. I know that this is the only way to make them practical in terms of quick changing, but that's not the point - the watch + strap must sit well on my wrist, without extra height.

I have tried different straps on my X-33, but the colours of the original one are great and match the watch perfectly. So finally I have decided to modify the original strap from NATO into 2-piece one. Here's final result:

The bracelet is not cheap I have to say, but worth every penny. The watch now looks very professional and is practically as light as with the strap.

Yep. Good choice. My Skywalker and x-33 Gen 2 both have the titanium
bracelets. Very light, super comfortable easy to clean.
Can be scratched, but still better than stainless. Just, Not as much bling.

No bling at all TBH 😉. Colour of titanium is quite dark grey and middle small links are brushed, not polished like on standard Moonwatch.
