Two watches today, as usual. I just put the Rolex Date-Just and the Eterna-Sonic back into the safe after having worn them both, for weeks. These two are presently on my wrists. I am not up to the technical challenge of using my tripod and the timed shutter release so I can picture them on my wrists.
On the left is my 60’s vintage rose gold filled Omega “jumbo”, manual wind. This one survived a helicopter crash, on the wrist of the original owner. (He survived, too!). On the right is my ‘50s vintage Gruen Autowind with a gold shell over stainless steel case, and a German-made 23-jewel Durowe auto-wind movement. Durowe was eventually bought by Timex in the era of the early Timex Electric. Durowe eventually became part of SSIH.
