What watch in your collection did you truly fall in love with?

Hi all,

I’ve recently had a new experience of truly falling in love with a particular watch. I’ve assembled a small collection full of watches I love. My vintage pieces have all been amazing. I thought I understood love… Then, I got an Omega 2531.80 two weeks ago. I now understand true love. I haven’t been able to take the damn thing off. I find myself staring at it for far too long. The watch feels more “me” than any other in my collection. I catch myself having thoughts like, “I can sell the whole collection and just keep this one”, which is a thought I’ve never had on any previous acquisition.

I’m wondering if this is a shared experience, especially when starting out in the watch world. Building up your collection and then getting one that just clicks with you better than any other. If yes, what watch did it for you?

Thanks all,
C Master

Monogamy in human relations, polygamy in watch relations. I've felt the true watch love, but it changes quickly 😉. Sometimes several times a day 😁

An entirely reasonable expectation. 😁

This one
The Mitsukoshi. I hardly wear it, but it’s still the one.

My Birth year watch, it’s a love affair definitely

My secret Speedy.....

These are all absolutely stunning. Thank you for sharing.

There is a difference between "all time favourite watch" and "truly falling in love watch" IMHO!

Yea I think I'm aligned with @Pun which is part of the reason I created this thread. I think we can have a favorite watch - but that is more of a fluid experience. I've had like 3 different favorite watches within the last year. I'm more so speaking about a watch that feels more like an extension of you than a fashion piece... in a sort of "true" love sense. That's what happened to me with the 2531.80. Like I said in the original post, I've caught myself thinking, "I can sell the rest now" because I've found 'the one.' And of course, I'm not going to, but this sort of attachment is not something I've ever felt to any of my previous watches I've acquired.

Of course - I say all this as a relative newbie to the watch world. So, I'm curious to hear everyones reports. So far, it looks like a common experience.

Haven't been collecting for long, but this Seamaster is the one I fell in love since the moment I tried it on and the magic hasn't worn off by one bit. A perfect watch in my eye for its size, shape and general design. Found an excuse to put it in the light box and make a few photos.

I have several true loves... 🥰

Despite living together in the same watch box, they don't know about each other...yet 😒

I think I've felt this way with a couple watches recently but I'm still waiting to make this determination for myself after a year or so ; )
