I traded a Sinn 156 for a 2254.50 in early 2022 and surely fell in love with its utility and look. Getting it and the nearly contemporaneous announcement of the new green SMP solidified my choice to buy a new Omega. Now, I love it instead and wear it nearly every day.

If I had to choose just one, it would probably have to be this, at least over the past year or so.

... it’s the most me watch I own ...
This could be a good topic for a separate thread.

Maybe it’s because it was my first “luxury” “big boy” watch but I fell in love with my Speedmaster. It’s still my most worn watch and I love it just as much as day one.

It’s an interesting question. I still love the first vintage watch I bought, it cost $25 at a thrift shop where I stood making weird faces as I pondered if it was too much money to spend on an old watch. The good old days. I couldn’t even see the dial because the crystal was so scratched up, but I could hear the rotor spinning around inside and “hey, I’ve heard about these watches, you don’t need to wind them!” . I love the way it feels on the wrist and the memories associated with it.

And I love the way I feel every time I put this on

But I could sit and look at my ‘41 Hamilton 992b all day long. Low serial # first year of production railroad approved watch with a Montgomery dial and the model 11 case that has the super charming stylized “speeding train wheel” mortif around the bezel - I love this thing for sure

The one I reach for most often as I await my 1952 Seamaster to return from service is my 1964 Dan Henry. Love that dial and it wears oh so well. The one that captivates me is my 1942 Hamilton 992b. Stunning watch.

My wife's 14900 Constellation. She's not into watches but was happy I had a hobby. I must have showed her hundreds of watch photos trying to find something for her. She'd start to say "this is not another watch photo, is it?" "Just one more," I'd answer.

Within a few days of each other I found this really nice Constellation and an exquisite Seamaster 14762SC-61. After they arrived she said she liked the Connie. We tried it on her and it looks fabulous.

Now she wears it when she goes to the office once a week and on her annual or semi-annual trip to NYC to meet the rating agencies. I keep hoping one of the finance boys will see it and ask her about it.

She calls it "my pie pan." 🥰

My Seamaster

I love my Speedmasters but these are the pinnacle of Omega watchmaking, IMHO.

I absolutely agree. Omega is producing great modern watches and the releases get better every year, but for quality and style, the 1950s and the early 1960s are the top. Other than my Ranchero (previous page), here are a few favorites from my collection:

This is the one for me , not sure Omega will ever make anything again to match it in my opinion .

It’s the ST2 Ultraman.

Thank you. That's what I thought but I couldn't see the weird logo thing in the seconds subdial in your photo.

Love it on that natural alligator…….Oh, wait, that’s your wrist!!

Just a joke, my Brother, hopefully no offense.
Be proud of that patina, I am!
