What caught my eye in the photo is that the transmission gear selector appears to be in Park. At least the ignition switch is in the ON position.
I don't remember when I first started noticing this - within the past 2 years - but now I can't stop.
Ok detective fox, apply the same logic to The koala in Sing!
Ha6x! That hairy forearm FYI actually belongs to an OF member who posted that vintage gold Seamaster in few yrs ago.
I always make it a point to scan through all the vintage or modern watches on the forum ( Not just Google ok ! ) because the clues are usually right here in front of Us [emoji3]
H HDrury42Do you remember who posted it?
I must have one!
I must respect the owner's privacy as he cherishes the watch very dearly for over 20 years now. It has a great story behind it by the way....
What I can share is that the watch with the dial restored is a 1950 Seamaster 34mm 14 ct Rose Gold Cal 342 bumper automatic with the correct pink gold crown , purchased for £300 in 1996
I saw the film again today with my girlfriend. I shot a video of the scene in his car, where we have the best shot of the watch. My girlfriend 'elbowed' me right as the watch appeared on the screen, but the anti-shake feature saved me, I think.. she didn't realize I was already recording.. 😁
One thing I noticed is, other than in this close-up, where the watch looks quite small on his wrist, (like maybe a 30-33mm), the watch looks much bigger in all the other parts of the film.
Or, maybe they just used a big-wristed dude/model in the close-up shot...🙄
I think i found it!
I think i found it!
From the screen capture, the marker tips extend beyond the minute marks, i.e., no dots at the 5 minute markers.
There one on eBay now, BIN $937:

It's in pretty good condition, but I'm wondering if those hands are replacement. The watch in the movie had hands with a lume line down the center, and a smaller crown.
You are right GeorgeBailey2. The weird thing is. That the movie shot looks silver to me as well.
