Thanks to a gent across the pond, the DS&S has arrived and is attached to the 14900-62.

Not the exact one for this ref but it will do nicely for weddings and clients!

I posted this elsewhere but I'd appreciate any thoughts. First time vintage purchase, it's been refurbished and polished but I'm told not too badly. 551 movement and 14381 series. It's very cool and was an early holiday gift from my wife who researched it. Learned about it by reading this forum.

So can I write to the omega museum and have it authenticated?

You can get an Extract from the Archives from Omega. That will tell you when the watch was shipped to a wholesaler and to which country. Omega will not "authenticate" the watch.

From your screen name I will assume you are from Australia. You can order online. Those in the USA need to go through an Omega Boutique near them.

You watch looks like a very nicely kept example. The polishing is minimal. I would recommend a search for a proper 10-sided (almost impossible to find) or scalloped (much easier to find) crown. The modern replacement is somewhat jarring to my eye. Here is @Hijak's example:

Thanks this is very helpful. I am from the states, the nickname is from the movie return to Oz and Tik Tok was a character. I'll call my local OB.

Your wife did a great job. The scalloped crown is typical for the 14381s, more so IMO than the decagonal. Here's mine:

PS I too like that movie and I definitely have a soft spot for Fairuza Balk (as she is now, I hasten to add!)

I have a Constellation MegaQuartz from 1973, I realize there are not everyone's cup of tea, but I love mine! Picture taken this morning...
