I'm sorting though some watches and I though that if anyone would like to see this, it would be the folks here. A very original Omega fob dating to 1905 with a nicely executed enamel back ... just a footnote, really, but sweet.
Beautiful. Just curious, because I don’t know much about pocket watches: I thought the fob refers to the chain attached to a watch?
In the US, at least, the fob is worn on the opposite end of the watch chain as an ornament. In the UK they often call a pocketwatch a "fob" watch. Here is my 1887 Illinois Model 2 in a coin silver case, on a sterling chain with a t bar for wearing on a vest, and an elephant ivory fob.

That's a beautiful example you have. I love the enamel work on the caseback.
