Chris - amazing Connie, well done & congrats!! And your photography skills ... very nice capture of the details. Your pics certainly do the watch justice Spencer
Thank you very much What I find amazing about these old textured dials is the quality of the printing. When a watch like this is under a loupe it is clear to see but most of the time in photo´s that just doesn´t come across very well and that is what I tried to emphasize. The printing is so sharp on what appears to a very awkward surface. I would love to learn more about the process used back in the 1950´s to achieve this result.
you don't have to shoot them both in soft focus -the 'other one' will never know....... give us some decent pics of your 1952 Connie
She is a kind of shy after "watchmaker" raped her dial years before i save her.... I try to take better pics later.
much better -thank you feel free to post pics of the medallion, case back and movement if you have them
yep -just the ticket nice family heirloom to keep a hold of does the inscription say 1957? if that is a 9M serial number it appears to date it to around 1950
This is the latest 2648 I've seen. Most of them have the serial in the 12-13M range. The vertical line of the cross-hair looks to be off center though.
