Bought this one. Very nice description. Movement should be a 290 but I can't open it ;-(

Looks like a mirror/two tone finish on the outer track?

Some thoughts on these 5 digit pocket chrono's. I now have recorded 9 of them. Both the movement and serial numbers tanknumber suggest a batch of 180 pieces in total. I played a bit with the serials and I think the production must have been something along these lines:


KSR means known survivor rate.

Furthermore it took me quite long to realise but - besides the casematerial - the basic difference between the various references is the shape of the bow (and the dial of 22550). Below a pic.

Just acquired this pocket watch and to my surprise it is a 4 digit reference

I'm going to put this one here now that it鈥檚 back from a service, a new crystal and a new mainspring (and obviously Berthoud being a recognised sub-brand). A very pleasing 43mm so had to find a much finer half albert for it and also bought the gubbins to make another should I find a different chain that takes my fancy.
