Vintage or new (don't care..)
No quartz
Prefer something with horological pedigree
Aware that a speedie reduced looks cool on a lady but even that is a touch big...
Easy (not a fortune) to service

A 30mm hand-winder could be nice. My wife really like the black one. I haven't seen it in years.

A Seamaster 120 or 60 (ladies or men version) from the 60's with a automatic movement and steel bracelet. Very cool.

All manual winders, pre-Swatch, all 14-karat gold (not the bracelets), all from late 1950s to mid-1960s, and all bought for scrap gold price. My wife’s favourite watch is the round Sapphette with the faceted synthetic sapphire crystal that is tinted pastel blue.

One of these older Seamasters - with a waffle dial. Can be found in your range, and straps give lots of options for accessorizing.

Must it be Omega?

These are just a few of what I would strap on a special woman. There are huge numbers of other watches. Yes, I like Omega too, I own a bunch of them, but there are others out there that cost a lot less.

Maybe the first version of the dynamic?
I'm going to second this one (as I consider myself a pretty kickass young woman and own two 😁) and include a couple of wrist shots

They have a lot of wrist presence for their size and a very modern sensibility for a vintage watch

You said vintage or new, how about a 36mm Aqua Terra? Waterproof, in the Seamaster line, and sweet looking IMO.

Is this to be something to wear on dressy occassions, maybe gold, or a casual watch for everyday, so steel and bolder designs?

I accidentally bought the strap key for the ladies dynamic. I suppose I should buy the ladies version of the watch so I have some use for it
