I really don't understand how people can admire dials like this.
Case 1: Look at it as art, ignoring history. Conclusion: it's completely wrecked, with bubbles, rotting lume, etc.
Case 2: Look at it as a well-used tool. Conclusion: this particular one looks like an abused tool, not a well-used one. I've seen hundreds of old dive watches that have fabulous patina and character. This isn't one of them.
And even if you think it looks badass because of its history, recall that it's someone else's history, not yours. The original owner of this watch could look at it and say "This reminds me of when I speared that ling cod while diving the Farallons." You can't.
