I’d be mostly concerned about the dial damage, especially around 6-8 o clock. The case will clean up nicely, movement can be fixed or replaced, but I doubt the dial will turn out beautifully.

The dial is the giant question mark, but I agree it looks iffy. Did anyone her get it? Would love to see how it comes out.

Only 3 hours until this goes off, Geneve 131.070 Calibre 601 hand-winder, great watch in great condition, well worth owning, still only $289 at present

Did anybody get it at $1,036 usd? I’m really curious if under the glass the dial is clean.

I bid on it but was outbid so would be really interested in this as well. Think it had promise and someone could have gotten a good deal.

Went for $440, which is within the price range I’d expect - albeit towards the lower end.

It is a bit of a no frills model, but the condition is quite good. I agree someone got a better than average deal.

They are no frills but I’ve had some of these Geneves that look condition wise like they’re made in 2020 not 1971, the cal 600 series just works and is pretty much bulletproof and the money is in the ballpark or an Apple Watch for a genuine Omega which is why I recommend them so much, if it were a Connie in that condition you would be paying well over $2k for a similar movement with a more fancy dial and case.

For anyone dipping their feet in vintage for the first time or even a young person buying their first good watch the Calibre 565 / 600 series Cosmics and Geneves are among the best recommendations I can make in terms of the amount of high quality watch you get for your money.

...and now around twice the price compared to when I got into vintage watches.
I have to say that while the dials on these are good, the case design has always had me disregard them.

Hi Radut. Welcome to OF. Some new member advice. First, this is the wrong thread for your post. You should start a new thread in the vintage Omega watch forum. Second, you are likely to get more helpful answers to your question if you first tell us what research you’ve done on your own and what conclusions you’ve reached.

It's getting to be nearly impossible to find a working Omega on ebay for under 300.

Seamaster Cosmic Calibre 565, these are gold plated and due to the age and sharp edges of the cosmic there are very few of these cases that survived fully intact. This one is one of the nicest examples, although not perfect that I've seen pop up on ebay in quite some time. Very nice dial and hands and a very good watch to have as a daily wearer.

Ends in 6 hours.

This looks revolting in the photo and the dial isn’t perfect, it’s patinated but under the years of wrist snot and bad crystal is a quite pretty 2852 Constellation piepan and from the bezel and lugs it doesn’t look like it’s ever been polished as the edges are very sharp. It won’t end cheaply but arrowhead dials like that rarely do.

Second hand looks to be replaced. Too long for the pie pan variant.

Seamaster 166.003 Calibre 565, one of my favorite Seamaster case designs in gold cap with BoR bracelet. Nice attractive wearable example ending in 11 hours.

That was pretty decent for $550usd, I really don’t get why 166.003 are overlooked so often when they’re among the best steel and gold cap Seamasters of that era

I was really tempted but just not quite right timing for me. I really like this case shape.

One of, if not the best, time only 60’s Seamaster cases
