It was almost five years ago that @MSNWatch created this thread and as of this writing, there are 3,660 posts and over 371K views. Now, the question on the title here is.. did you pursue any of these? were you able to snatch any? and if you did, how many remain in your collection?

I did go after several of them but only managed to get these three which I still have in my watch box.

what about any of you??

I bought one or two from that thread... One of them was even my own suggestion!

Possibly the single biggest non-buy regret I have to date is not paying the BIN on a MSNWatch-endorsed Seamaster Chronometre from that thread, but trying to strike a better deal with the seller. Makes me feel bad just thinking about it! 馃檨

Those notorious enablers @Peemacgee and @ConElPueblo worked me into this one:

The extra with this purchase was the original strap that came with it - a nice Omega branded brown leather with a gold colored buckle that works great on another Constellation.

I also bought at least one more, a Seamaster 147.01 that's been in the hands of a purported watchmaker for 8 months now.

Sorry but no pictures of that one. If I ever get it back maybe I can show it here...

Ive bought a few. Only 1 remains - and not for long.

That's an unbelievable watch!
It seems there are a lot of members turning over watches quickly.

Hmm, thought I had posted a reply before but I guess not.

I bought this one recently, it鈥檚 at the watchmaker鈥檚 for a cleaning, in good condition though by all appearances he said. He鈥檚 going to even out the poor polishing job on the caseback too.

This just arrived yesterday. I want to get a different bracelet, the Speidel is way too blingy for me. I tried a pair of leather straps but there isn鈥檛 enough clearance for the case so I doubt I鈥檒l be able to find other leather straps that are thin enough around the spring bars. I don鈥檛 think curved straps will work either as the holes in the lugs don鈥檛 look like they are angled.

The dial appears to be in excellent condition. Going to have my watchmaker give it a servicing next and then I鈥檒l be able to get some photos of the movement.

Should your lift angle be 52?

And PS, congrats on the watch

I looked it up after, found a lift angle of 49, I had heard using the wrong lift angle wouldn't affect the rate, just the amplitude. I did run it again an hour later with 48 as the lift angle, still running similarly fast.

Thanks for the compliment too, hoping to add a Seamaster or Constellation next.

This arrived today. The strap wasn't suitable but I had two sets of alligator straps from Tuns in Vietnam that also arrived todayone in brown, the other in black.
