Is it due to the country you’re in or just some weird glitch? I’m in AU and haven’t had an issue bidding on them or receiving them
Thanks, @dsio - It probably has something to do with living in Denmark, but the danish customs have quite transparent rules. The decision lies solely at eBay, and they only block bidding on GSP items. I am certain it has something to do with the GSP programme and the customs negotiations associated with it.
I got this song and dance from their customer "service":
Thank you for getting back to us about the item 323853824275! Rest assured that we are here to check this and assist you today.
We reviewed your account and the item 323853824275 with my supervisor and see that this item is listed under our Global Shipping Program or GSP. Now, as you may know, GSP is integrated with the rules and regulations of all countries they are supporting and with this, our system filter is designed to block this item as it can not be shipped to your country. Please know that there are a lot of factors when filtering items and how the seller listed the item has a big contribution on this. Looking at the item, I see that this is pre-owned and as you may not know, items that are pre-owned or used can not be shipped to some of the countries.
At the same time, to verify this, we ask that you please contact your customs office to check the item as well as the listing or how the seller listed the item.
We apologize if this blocks you from purchasing the item. We do not have the intention of causing a problem on your end. The filter on purchasing the item is only placed on the system to assure members and not give them false hope to purchase the item that can be stuck in their customs without receiving it.
However, if you can verify from your customs that such item can be purchased and delivered to your country, then you can contact the seller to make an agreement.
Since there is already a buyer for this item, you can contact the seller to see if they still have the same item with them that they can list by opting out of GSP then let you purchase it. I strongly believe that a simple conversation will work things out for the both of you and will lead to a positive result. Additionally, you can also look and purchase the same item from a different seller that is not using our Global Shipping Program. I am sure that we have lots of sellers in eBay who share and sell the same interests that you like. I am positive that you will get this specific item in no time!
I trust that I have explained this information clearly.

Weird. I live in DK as well and have purchased items with GSP previously.

That said, if an item is marked as being sold on the GSP programme, I now always back off. Outrageous costs.

Only just realized this is literally a couple of suburbs away from me, might need to head around and do some snooping, they’ve had some really cool stuff on occasion but didn’t really connect the bricks and mortar store to the ebay shop
Would be worth a wander through that store. They have some nice inventory!

Only worth it if it’s still a bargain after the high fees.

I can bid on GSP as long as it is not from USA.

This one in the UK looks bad because of the cracked crystal but I’d be down for it as its about as original as they get and with a new plexi and a service would be a great piece to wear:

Went for a reasonable price, I hesitated because I’m not confident I understand what it’ll cost to get it to the US. That and because my roof leaked last night and it might not be the best time to spend money on a watch lol

Yea I wonder if someone here got it, I’m sure it would be nice after cleanup, good luck with the roof mate we’ve got some bad problems in that area here but thankfully we’re renting and will be gone shortly.

I think it's actually a mis-labelled 2767, a 2757 is a cal 355 date @ 6

Very nice Seamaster chronometer from the 50's with GF rivet bracelet

For financial reasons, I passed on a watch just like this in 2019. It went for only 800€. I have hit myself since!

That’s a nice really clean example of the dial variant, nice case and crown too, at $1500 so far it’ll be interesting to see what that carries in 2021

If it was in Europe I'd be all over it to make the pair and the GF bracelet adds a significant premium IMO. I can see it being very good value up to €2250-€2500

And sold for €2864 $3383 which TBH is more than I expected.

+1 - I was prepared to pay slightly over 2k€ and expected this to be a realistic bid. It wasn’t, obviously. Very, very nice piece though.

Yea that’s a bit strong but it’s definitely a really nice example, the number of white dials like that without significant patina or staining isn’t that high so I kind of understand
