great looking dress watch Constellation - but Desmond’s chart suggests this ref was first released in 1972.
Omega might have had a stockpile of 712s they eventually used up but a 26,5xxxx serial movement smells a bit early to me.
Something worth considering if anyone intends bidding.
The 712s are a bit unusual serial wise, they were not made by Omega or on Omega’s production line so they are made in sort of large blocks of serials outside of Omega’s normal production range by Edward Piguet/Rayville SA-Montres Blancpain which was in-group (SIHH) but separate from Omega, that’s why its sort of similar and related to the Omega 55x but drastically thinner as Piguet are sort of the gods of ultra-thins.

A rare red-dialed Admiralty just came up on the Bay. Comes with the original band and clasp as well, though the former is pretty well worn out. OMEGA GENEVE Admiralty 135.042 Rarität in roter Ausführung TOP ! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/-/393436444963

They are beautiful watches, and definitely under priced at the moment

Me neither. It's always great to look not only something that is totally new for you, but also quite charming!

I think its just so many people confuse them for the 1000 series and avoid them, they’re solid and reliable, definitely not an economy grade movement like the other 70s 3 handlers.

Is it a crack or a reflection on the caseback?

I vote reflection based on the coloration across the top too, but hard to be 100% sure. Quick! Someone buy it and report back!

That's probably because we're a bunch of cheapskates who won't fork out for a Seamaster. Just saying....
Actually, the second Genève looks a lot better than some of the Seamaster dogs offered for sale. I’m assuming it has a 552 movement too.

Still, the fact that it has a ‘genuine leather strap’ is a significant value added feature in my book

I spotted your deliberate mistake!

This one in the UK looks bad because of the cracked crystal but I’d be down for it as its about as original as they get and with a new plexi and a service would be a great piece to wear:

I’ve been looking for one of these to replace one I have that has some unfortunate uneven patina that’s been driving me nuts for 3 years. Going to have to keep an eye on it, though expect it’ll sell for more than I’m interested in spending right now.

That ended cheap.

Is it due to the country you’re in or just some weird glitch? I’m in AU and haven’t had an issue bidding on them or receiving them
