I was thinking Eupheganaia Doubtfire for a rebus. But couldn’t do that to you! 😁 Now that I think of it, I wouldn’t do it to myself!

I think I got the answer?

HUZZAH, @JimInOz got it. The clue that caused you all the most trouble was the kids in the cardboard boats in the swimming pool being “buoyed” up by flotation devices of some sort. The final clue was an image of thug Edwin Alonzo BOYD which probably was the trigger. William Boyd, aka Hopalong Cassidy!

Bouyed (as in helped remain afloat = Willam Boyd, aka Hopalong Cassidy.
