You’ll be surprised when this rebus is answered. I predict it will, have to be answered by me! One clue. There is a vegetable involved, although not specified in the answer. Work on that, if you will. 🍿
The word comprising the name of the vegetable is part of the subject’s first name. The vegetable doesn’t appear in the answer. I’ll give you a hint. A clue to determine the vegetable lies in the clue showing the “little goose”. This term is a nickname for a musical instrument. Once you determine the musical instrument, you will have to decipher another slang name for that musical instrument, to end up with the name of the vegetable. Abstruse enough for you? Don’t lose any sleep over it!😁 🍿This FAR too generous clue will help you too much!
The ocarina is sometimes called the sweet potato flute, with “ocarina” translating as “little goose” in Italian dialect.
I think I might be on the right track with sweet potato, but not sure how to work it into a name. Sweetwater?

In keeping with my New Years promise for tougher puzzles, put your thinking caps on. These clues lead to the birth name of a fellow. I need a picture of this fellow’s alter ego. Clue: male, entertainer, 1930s. The answer is NOT the name of the guy in the one clue!
