@Matty01 made that look so easy! I was just starting to get my head around it, but that is no longer necessary.

I need a name, and a significant event in history. Images are acceptable, but also text describing your answer.

Good, @JimInOz , but not quite good enough for an award! I need a name, and a significant event In history. So please flesh out the clues I gave to nail down the name, and identify the significant event. Can anyone else help?

Oh, sorry, didn't read the requirements, too busy thinking of answers to the pictures.

October 5th, 1969. MPFC debuts on BBC TV.

Prezactly! Monty Python’s Flying Circus debuts on BBC TV on October 5! 1969. That’s 53 years ago today. A provisional award to @JimInOz whose reply ignored the image of the Spirit of St. Louis which meant the Flying part of MPFC.

Were you a school teacher in your early days?

😁

I wasn’t a teacher. No. But would that have made a difference?

It was meant as a joke.

Can't get any further than this.

Monkey.jpg

😕
Mebbe I’ve been a bit obscure? It’s my first go at creating a Rebus
Clues
This rebus is 4 words
First 2 pics represent 1 word or the rebus
Pic 3 and 4 are a word apiece
Last 2 pics make 1 word

the rebus poses a question which has been asked recently in this thread

The Monkey King was as far as I’d got, as well. I thought maybe a character or author, but couldn’t make anything fit.

Google tells me the last picture is a singer known as H.E.R.

The blackboard was used by Einstein when he gave a series of lectures at Oxford. So maybe Albert/Bert/theory/chalk?

I’m sure someone will have a lightbulb moment.

The image in the first pic is irrelevant
King is right, but in another language

Are you asking @Canuck if he’s a science teacher?
Close enough…
I’m posing the same question another forumite asked Canuck earlier in this thread
‘Are you a teacher’
Last pic is of American singer H.E.R.

After the monkey was killed off I arrived at "are ewe a" but couldn't figure out how to get the "are".

And then teacher became obvious.

A bit obtuse but not bad for a first effort 👍.

All I have is that ‘re’ is Italian for king. I haven’t figured out where the ‘a’ comes from.
