discussed at thread start was this brown/faded black too - but complete different bezel--layout and steel hands, very questionable too.

found here in the forum, questionable blue bezel on the early execution. but same layout with the one from vegaban.
Hi
Would like to know what everyone thinks of this.
It seems to me that this could be the 3rd generation (according to this website: https://thespringbar.com/blogs/guides/universal-geneve-polerouter-sub/) Polerouter Sub.
The 2,3 things that trouble me are:
1) the second hand is definitely wrong. But I can't figure out whether it should have a colored or steel second hand
2) the bezel is not a count down bezel, which i think is fine. But should it be a colored bezel (to go with a colored second hand) or should it be the current mounted bezel with a steel second hand? Since the movement is a cal. 69, I am more inclined that the bezel is right and the second hand should be steel
3) the crown. Again, am not sure whether the crown in the pic is the right one.
Would appreciate all comments and inputs pls.
Thanks in advance.
I didn't see a good pic of the crown. Looks like there is no serial number on the case back either for whatever that's worth.
the rotor has also been swapped from a cal 69 to a cal 215/218 style.
I'm more familiar with the first generation compressor Subs but I think this is an 869116/01 because I don't think earlier models had the asymmetric case and later models had the Universal and Geneve text on the same line on the dial, whereas this has Universal in white and Geneve in red on separate lines. The later 869120 etc typically had the case reference inside the case back too.
If I'm correct, then the crown on the watch is incorrect as it should be the earlier large domed crown (it doesn't seem to fit based on your photo).
The seconds hand should be steel. I think the bezel is correct.
