Question - is this a really "GREY" bezel for the PR Sub 3rd or is it just faded? Looks too good for being faded to me. What do you think?

We know that bezels: black, blue, green, red - and maybe grey?

Hour and minute hand both white. I don't know that I've seen that, is it correct? I would say faded bezel, as cannot find any other references with a similar color.

yes, strange the white minute. and the bright white doesn´t fit the very dark lumen too. looks strange to me

to move on here is a crazy brilliant example with green bezel on behalf of a friend. the best condition I ever have seen.

discussed at thread start was this brown/faded black too - but complete different bezel--layout and steel hands, very questionable too.

found here in the forum, questionable blue bezel on the early execution. but same layout with the one from vegaban.

I agree. I don't think the bezel is correct - it should be a plain black bezel with the circular bezel "pearl". It looks ok otherwise.

The bezel looks fine here but I think the hands are wrong (it is a later version with flat crown). The versions with the coloured bakelite bezels typically have the orange/white hands and not the steel hands. The seconds hand is definitely wrong.

Hi
Would like to know what everyone thinks of this.
It seems to me that this could be the 3rd generation (according to this website: https://thespringbar.com/blogs/guides/universal-geneve-polerouter-sub/) Polerouter Sub.
The 2,3 things that trouble me are:
1) the second hand is definitely wrong. But I can't figure out whether it should have a colored or steel second hand
2) the bezel is not a count down bezel, which i think is fine. But should it be a colored bezel (to go with a colored second hand) or should it be the current mounted bezel with a steel second hand? Since the movement is a cal. 69, I am more inclined that the bezel is right and the second hand should be steel
3) the crown. Again, am not sure whether the crown in the pic is the right one.
Would appreciate all comments and inputs pls.
Thanks in advance.

I didn't see a good pic of the crown. Looks like there is no serial number on the case back either for whatever that's worth.

I don’t have the watch with me but it does have the UG logo but it does not seem to be a flat crown. Again, I think the crown is fine. Yes, no serial number on case back but the inner surface of the case back seems correct. So what it means is that the serial number on the case back could have been polished off.

I'm more familiar with the first generation compressor Subs but I think this is an 869116/01 because I don't think earlier models had the asymmetric case and later models had the Universal and Geneve text on the same line on the dial, whereas this has Universal in white and Geneve in red on separate lines. The later 869120 etc typically had the case reference inside the case back too.

If I'm correct, then the crown on the watch is incorrect as it should be the earlier large domed crown (it doesn't seem to fit based on your photo).

The seconds hand should be steel. I think the bezel is correct.

Thanks for the input. I concur that it is the 869116/01.
Definitely the second hand is wrong (aftermarket). The rotor is also definitely wrong (but from an earlier 218/215 calibre). What it means is that it probably has been serviced in the past.
As for the crown, it looks like it is a UG crown too. Could also be correct because some of the same model variants have flatter crown.
So the biggest issue to me seems to be the second hand - I probably will start by looking for one. Followed by the right rotor and hopefully a dome crown. Could be a nice project for a while.
Happy to see if anyone spots anything else or has anything else to add please.

SN: if anyone in this forum has a spare steel second hand or a spare rotor for the UG cal 69, please ping me 😀
Thanks
