Heavy patina on the dial, which I am usually a fan of, but I know not everyone is so that could affect resale. Especially on a dress watch. Also looks to have been polished more than a few times. And hard to see from the pics, but I don’t think that movement’s seen a service in a while. Also almost no information from the seller, makes me suspicious...

Thanks. I messaged him about service, any damage etc. we’ll see. Seems like an inexpensive way to finally get a Patek

Would you really wear a PP with a dial like that? I wouldn't. Their are many better examples out there.

I'd pass. There are other PP calatravas with much better dials and much less patina. Besides, the patina on this one is moderate and not very attractive, IMO.

I like a little patina but finding one at a cheap price doesn’t happen often

32mm size is going to hold it back too.

Nah, that watch isn't so old. There were plenty of 34mm dress watches around at the time, and some even larger.

I thought 33mm was the classic PP Calatrava size.

This is why I ask the experts here. It’s also why I need to diversify my knowledge about brands other than Zenith

If there's anything I learnt on OF, is that to buy condition condition condition.

And that axiom is becoming increasingly important, as overall demand wanes.

It appears that most of the paint that originally filled the grooves of the index is missing. They were not applied indexes.
